Welcome to my new blog. This is my first post! I have a terrible compulsion to make lists of books, sort my books alphabetically and plan to read ALL the books of every list anyone ever makes. AAArgh, it’s awful! I wait for book award shortlists with excitement and fear-how will I ever read all the books out there? What do you do? How does one decide what to read next? On these pages I intend to make a final place for all my lists and other book related ephemera. Other topics will crop up because I can be just as annoyingly methodical about working my way through cookery books- how will I cook all those recipes? Aaargh!

Am halfway through reading Michael Dobbs The Edge of Madness http://www.amazon.co.uk/Edge-Madness-Michael-Dobbs/dp/1847372848/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1233089817&sr=1-1which I bought for my husband for Christmas on the strength of a recommendation/discussion about it on The Book Show (Sky Arts Thursday 7pm http://thebookshow.skyarts.co.uk/ . It’s okay, and a good idea so far- cyber warfare, but it won’t go down in my top reads of the year.
